We believe that nourishing your body with real food is essential to living a healthy, fulfilling life. That's why we use real food ingredients: real food for flavor, and real, high-quality protein sources. No artificial flavors, sugar alcohols, sucralose, Ace-K, aspartame, or synthetic emulsifiers.

Our whey protein comes from milk produced by grass-fed cows raised in New Zealand and Ireland, regions known for strong dairy quality standards.

Everyone's digestion is different, but this blend uses 4-5 protein sources, including non-denatured whey along with pea, chia, and grass-fed collagen, in smaller amounts rather than a large dose of whey alone. This approach may be easier on digestion for some people, though individual tolerance can vary.

Reviews

Bad batch

"I’ve ordered this twice a couple months apart. And both batches happened to be from the same lot number. They both have a sour rancid smell. JI customer service was great throughout all of this. My MIL says this is her favorite flavor, so I’m hoping to get another batch later on that will be better."

— Jackie (2/5)

So good!

"I love banana everything and I had been spending too much money at Starbucks on their banana bread matcha that probably doesn’t even have real bananas in it. I took a chance on this protein powder to see if I could make it better & healthier at home! I cannot recommend it enough. I pour my milk mixed with a scoop of this protein powder over ice and whisk up my matcha to pour over the top. Tastes better, healthier, & even more cost effective!"

— Ariana (5/5)

My new favourite protein powder.

"My new favourite protein powder. It tastes like a dessert and mixes very well. Good to put in kefir, yogurt and oatmeal and has a good texture overall. It also works well for baking and if you want to add protein to pretty much anything."

— Josephine B. (5/5)

Rancid Taste

"Unfortunately, I did not enjoy this product. It had a stale, rancid taste, and even after trying it several times, I found the flavor unpleasant. The taste was so rancid that I double-checked the expiration date to make sure the product had not expired. I have tried several other flavors and have really liked them. This one was a hard no for me."

— Melissa (1/5)

Unique Flavor

"I love banana flavor, it's typically a go-to flavor for me but there are so many fake tasting banana flavors out there. This one is so smooth and tastes like a perfect banana. I love mixing a 1/2 scoop to my half n half and top my ice coffee with it."

— Emily (5/5)

Smells and tastes like soap, not banana bread

"I was really excited for this one — banana bread is one of my favorite flavors, and the reviews had me expecting something great. Unfortunately my experience didn't match them at all. The moment I opened the bag, I got a strong soapy smell. I hoped it was just an off note from the protein base that would fade once mixed, so I went ahead and made a shake anyway. No luck — it tasted like soap too, not banana bread in the slightest. Given the price point, this was a disappointing purchase. I'm not sure if I got a bad batch or if this is consistent across units, but I can't recommend it based on my experience."

— Miyako (1/5)

This flavor is easy and

"This flavor is easy and gentle on your stomach. Real food is used to create these flavors from Just Ingredients and the banana did not disappoint! It's not too strong and the recipe on the back is great too."

— Sarah G. (5/5)

Great!

"If you're a fan of banana bread, you'll probably love this flavor! It's an easy way to get in more protein and it honestly tastes more like a treat than a protein shake. It mixes really well in smoothies, but I've also been adding it to oatmeal, Greek yogurt, and even protein pancakes. So many possibilities with this protein powder!"

— Tiera O. (5/5)

Yum!

"I truly enjoy the flavor! I add a scoop of clean peanut butter too!"

— Susan S. (5/5)

Not worth it

"I was looking forward to this because I love everything banana, I highly do not recommend. I can barely stomach the taste, then the after taste is horrible"

Q&A

Can I add this to my morning coffee?
Hi! Many customers really enjoy adding our protein to their coffee. We reccomend mixing your protien with a small amount of cool milk or water first before adding it to a hot coffee to help prevent clumping. We hope this helps!
Hello are these safe for someone with a peanut allergy? Pea protein is not an issue. Thanks
Great question! While our equipment is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between production runs, both peanuts and tree nuts are processed in the same facility. This means that, whether or not the run contains tree nuts, cross-contact could still be a possibility. That said, if you have a severe allergy, we recommend avoiding the product, as peanuts and tree nut powders are considered air contaminants.
