Yes! It is meant to be used in place of a traditional toothpaste.
Yes, our tooth powders are safe for children! We recommend either the Kids Tooth Powder (citrus) or the Remineralizing Tooth Powder (mint). Both versions are safe for kids and can be swallowed, we just know that littles don’t always love minty toothpaste so we made a citrus version for them.
If your child is over two years of age and able to spit out their regular toothpaste, then the Whitening Remineralizing Tooth Powder (mint) is safe for them to use.
A jar of tooth powder can last a single person 2 months with twice-daily brushing.
That’s up to you! It’s very similar to sharing a tube of toothpaste as your wet toothbrush picks up what it touches. But if you prefer not to share, get each person their own jar!
Alternatively, you can use a UV toothbrush sanitizer before dipping your toothbrush in the jar to reduce the spread of bacteria.
The tooth powder can help with gum health, but receding gums generally require a skin graft.

- Can I floss after I use the Tooth Powder or should I do it before?
- Great question! 😊 We recommend flossing before using the Tooth Powder. Flossing first helps remove debris from between your teeth so the Tooth Powder can better clean all the surfaces of your teeth. If you happen to floss afterward, that's okay too, but flossing first is ideal!
- Does your Fresh Citrus Remineralizing Tooth Powder contain mint or eucalyptus?
- Great question- not the Fresh Citrus does not!
- Is the hydroxyapetite nano? When I scan hydroxyapetite, it says it’s a hazardous ingredient and I was told to look for nano hydroxyapetite. Are they the same thing?
- Thank you for reaching out! Our Tooth Powders are made with non-nano hydroxyapatite, instead of fluoride, to remineralize teeth. Nano particles are so small that they can cross the blood brain barrier and imbed in tissues. We needed a particle small enough to get into the enamel and dentin tubules in your tooth, but not small enough to cross the blood brain barrier. So we selected a micro particle that is 200nm. Anything under 100nm is a nano particle and will cross through that blood brain barrier. The tooth powder is designed to maximize the remineralizing capabilities of hydroxyapatite in the safest form possible.
