Frequently Asked Questions

Most powders rely on whey alone, which gives you one amino acid profile and tends to upset digestion in larger doses. We use four real food sources in smaller amounts for a fuller amino acid range that's easier on your stomach. Whey and pea support muscle, chia adds fiber, and collagen supports skin, joints, and bones.

Four to five real food sources, depending on the flavor: grass-fed whey, pea, pumpkin seed, chia seed, and collagen. We blend them on purpose, because no single protein covers everything. Together they give a more complete amino acid profile than one source could alone.

It's far less likely to. Most powders use only whey, and a big dose of whey alone is what bothers most people. We use four to five proteins in smaller amounts, plus non-denatured whey with no casein and very little lactose, so even whey-sensitive people tend to do well.

Barely. We use stevia leaf crushed straight from the plant, sourced through a manufacturer-only wholesaler. That skips the heavy processing most stevia goes through, and everything we use is sourced the same way.

Q&A

I bought the plain flavor and it has a sweet flavor!! And a vanilla flavor! I noticed that you use 3 sweeteners!! I wanted to add to things like my coffee and some food and it’s too sweet!!! I think that your description of your protein it’s misleading. I won’t order again as long as it the same ingredients. I am not really using it, a waste of my money.
We apologize for the misunderstanding- we list a flavor profile on our products to give you an idea of what you are purchasing
Hi! I tried the chocolate protein powder and it was too sweet, and noticed all of your protein powders have monk fruit. Any chance you will make one without a sweetener? I would love to support you!
Great question! At this time, all our proteins contain monk fruit, but we will be sure to pass on the feedback!
How much collagen is in one serving of this protein powder?
Great question! At Just Ingredients, we value transparency, though some details are proprietary. Since our Protein Powder isn’t primarily a collagen supplement, we typically don’t disclose the exact amount of collagen. However, our Protein Powders contain 4-5 protein sources: chia seed protein, pumpkin seed protein, pea protein, collagen, and whey protein, with each in fairly balanced proportions. While we’re not able to share the exact amount of collagen in our protein due to it being proprietary, we can let you know that it’s a smaller amount compared to our Collagen Peptides, which contain 10g (10,000mg) of collagen per serving. If you’re looking to ensure you're getting a more targeted or consistent collagen intake daily, we’d recommend adding our Collagen Peptides to your routine.
Does this protein powder mix well into yogurt?
Great question! We have used our Protein Powder in some yogurt and we think it mixes in great!
Is the protein powder safe to drink while pregnant?
Hi Margret! For pregnancy and breastfeeding, we always recommend consulting with your doctor to determine what is best for your individual needs. Many of our ingredients are commonly found in prenatal vitamins or are made from real food sources. For instance, our Protein Powders are packed with nourishing, whole food ingredients that can support healthy growth. It's also generally recommended to increase protein intake while breastfeeding, and using protein powder can be a convenient way to support both your body and your baby. However, your doctor can offer specific guidance based on your health needs.
