Frequently Asked Questions

Most powders rely on whey alone, which gives you one amino acid profile and tends to upset digestion in larger doses. We use five real food sources in smaller amounts for a fuller amino acid range that's easier on your stomach. Whey and pea support muscle, pumpkin seed aids recovery, chia adds fiber, and collagen supports skin, joints, and bones.

Four to five real food sources, depending on the flavor: grass-fed whey, pea, pumpkin seed, chia seed, and collagen. We blend them on purpose, because no single protein covers everything. Together they give a more complete amino acid profile than one source could alone.

It's far less likely to. Most powders use only whey, and a big dose of whey alone is what bothers most people. We use four to five proteins in smaller amounts, plus non-denatured whey with no casein and very little lactose, so even whey-sensitive people tend to do well.

Barely. We use stevia leaf crushed straight from the plant, sourced through a manufacturer-only wholesaler. That skips the heavy processing most stevia goes through, and everything we use is sourced the same way.

So Delicious!

"I bought myself a Ninja Creami at Costco this summer and was so excited to get this Mint Chocolate Protein powder to make my favorite mint chocolate chip ice cream. It did NOT disappoint!! So yummy, smooth and delicious! My granddaughters loved it and so did I."

Sherri S. (5/5)

Good not great

"A little deeper and darker chocolate flavor would make this 5 starts but it's a very decent 4 stars. Tastes great in my Ninja creami as Ice cream but I do add a little more cocoa powder or melted dark chocolate."

Callie S. (4/5)

The best protein powder

"This is by far my very favorite brand and flavor of protein powder. It's not at all chalky and tastes so delicious. it's so smooth and creamy and no nasty "natural flavors' like all the rest out there. No iffy weird stuff in this protein powder. it's just pure goodness."

Babcock (5/5)

Good but lacks some taste

"I love all out stuff from Just Ingredients, so I was super excited about this. It is very good, but it lacks a little richness in flavor like I was hoping it would have."

Emily M. (4/5)

This is my husband’s favorite

"This is my husband’s favorite flavor so far! He loves it in overnight oats because the mint makes it taste sweeter so you don’t have to add any sweeteners to it. Tastes like a treat! It adds the perfect combo of a tad minty and tad chocolate!"

Aneliesse L. (5/5)

Mint and Chocolate Chip Delight

"The texture and flavor are great and have caused no noticeable negative digestive issues. High quality ingredients are definitely a bonus to the flavor of this protein as it tastes just like mint chocolate chip ice cream, even using only water for mixing and provides a healthy way to satisfy a sweet craving. Whether having it as a quick on the go breakfast or a snack, it’s a great little boost. I highly recommend this protein powder."

Linda L. (5/5)

"Blend one scoop with 8 oz of whole milk and some ice cubes. The best drink there is. When ever I start to crave chocolate, this is my go too. Love it as it blend very smooth and have a great flavor."

Tasha M. (5/5)

Good minty chocolate

"My husband loves mint chocolate chip, he said this flavor was better than the artificial ice cream. It’s not an overpowering flavor punch of peppermint. It’s very light peppermint taste the chocolate is the main flavor"

Q&A

What is the nutritional info on the protein powders and what is the best thing to mix them with?
Our nutritional labels are located on our site, you can take a look at the items you are interested in. You can mix it with any kind of milk or water- what ever you prefer.
How much collagen is in the protein powder? Thanks!
Thank you for reaching out! At Just Ingredients, we value transparency, though some details are proprietary. Since protein powder isn’t primarily a collagen supplement, we typically don’t disclose the exact amount of collagen. However, our protein powders contain 4-5 protein sources: chia seed protein, pumpkin seed protein, pea protein, collagen, and whey protein, with each in fairly balanced proportions. If you’re looking for additional collagen, you can always supplement with bovine collagen as needed. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you.
Is the mint chocolate powder the same as the minty one u had around st patrica day last year? I forgot what it was called but it was amazing!
Great question! The Lucky Mint and Mint Chocolate Protein Powder are different protein powders! The Lucky Mint has a vanilla base instead of chocolate, and it also has some spinach and spirulina in it!
What’s the difference between chocolate peppermint and mint chocolate?
Great question! The Mint Chocolate and the Seasonal Chocolate Peppermint actually share the same delicious formula, so you’ll get the same taste and nutrition you already love. The only difference is the packaging! Our Seasonal Chocolate Peppermint version comes in a special holiday bag, making it perfect for gifting or adding a festive touch to your pantry. We hope this helps!
