Frequently Asked Questions

Most powders rely on whey alone, which gives you one amino acid profile and tends to upset digestion in larger doses. We use multiple real food protein sources in smaller amounts for a fuller amino acid range that's easier on your stomach. Whey and pea support muscle, chia adds fiber, and collagen supports skin, joints, and bones.

Four real food sources, depending on the flavor: grass-fed whey, pea, chia seed, and collagen. We blend them on purpose, because no single protein covers everything. Together they give a more complete amino acid profile than one source could alone.

It's far less likely to. Most powders use only whey, and a big dose of whey alone is what bothers most people. We use four to five proteins in smaller amounts, plus non-denatured whey with no casein and very little lactose, so even whey-sensitive people tend to do well.

Barely. We use stevia leaf crushed straight from the plant, sourced through a manufacturer-only wholesaler. That skips the heavy processing most stevia goes through, and everything we use is sourced the same way.

So good!

"I love this smoothie mix. I add it to smoothies but also to greek yogurt with berries. It has great flavor and isn't grainy or chalky. Blends super well and tastes great!"

Martha S. (5/5)

Only have had it in my smoothie

"I mix one scoop into my fruit smoothie. It blends in very nice, you cant even tell you added protein. Not sure what it would be like if I had it alone."

Tasha M. (5/5)

Not my favorite so far.

"Not my favorite so far. It has a decent berry flavor but it seems to have an odd after taste a few seconds after each sip that makes it seem a little chalky and bitter."

Amanda D. (3/5)

Delicious!

"Mixed with frozen berries, Greek yogurt, chia seeds, half a banana and a little honey - delicious!"

Lauren M. (5/5)

Q&A

Is this different than Mountain Berry?
Great question! The products are not identical but very similar! The smoothie mix is a bit lighter, a little less protein and lower calories!
Are any of the protein powders vegetarian? Firmly dedicated to no animal slaughter.
If you're looking for a vegetarian option, our Vegan Protein Powders would be the best choice, as they do not contain animal-derived ingredients. Our whey-based Protein Powders are not considered vegetarian because they contain grass-fed collagen, which is animal-derived.
Do you need to add fruit to this or not?
You do not need to add additional fruit to our Mixed Berry Protein Smoothie Mix. It already contains organic strawberry, blueberry, and raspberry, along with other whole-food ingredients to provide the berry flavor. You’re welcome to blend it with your favorite milk or liquid of choice, and you can add extra fruit, greens, or other ingredients if you’d like to customize your smoothie, but it’s delicious on its own! Please let us know if you have any other questions. We’re happy to help!
Does the protein powder have anything in it that will spike my blood sugar?
Thank you for reaching out! Based on the ingredients, our Protein Powder does not contain added sugars or high-glycemic sweeteners that are typically associated with blood sugar spikes. The sweetness comes from organic fruit, organic stevia leaf extract, and organic monk fruit extract. The formula also contains protein, collagen, MCT oil powder, and chia seed protein, which help provide a balanced source of nutrients. That said, everyone’s body responds differently to foods and supplements, especially when it comes to blood sugar. If you are monitoring your blood sugar closely, we recommend checking with your healthcare provider to determine what works best for your individual needs. Please let us know if you have any other questions, we’re happy to help!
