Yes! It is meant to be used in place of a traditional toothpaste.

Yes, our tooth powders are safe for children! We recommend either the Kids Tooth Powder (citrus) or the Remineralizing Tooth Powder (mint). Both versions are safe for kids and can be swallowed, we just know that littles don’t always love minty toothpaste so we made a citrus version for them.

If your child is over two years of age and able to spit out their regular toothpaste, then the Whitening Remineralizing Tooth Powder (mint) is safe for them to use.

A jar of tooth powder can last a single person 2 months with twice-daily brushing.

That’s up to you! It’s very similar to sharing a tube of toothpaste as your wet toothbrush picks up what it touches. But if you prefer not to share, get each person their own jar!

Alternatively, you can use a UV toothbrush sanitizer before dipping your toothbrush in the jar to reduce the spread of bacteria.

The tooth powder can help with gum health, but receding gums generally require a skin graft.

Our Tooth Powders are made with non-nano hydroxyapatite, instead of fluoride, to remineralize teeth. We carefully chose the right particle size for our tooth powder. Our particles are 200nm - that's small enough to get into the tiny spaces in your teeth where remineralization happens, but large enough to stay where they belong and not travel elsewhere in your body. This size gives you the benefits of hydroxyapatite for stronger teeth while keeping things safe and effective.​
Do any of your ingredients contain corn or corn derivatives? What is the source of your xylitol?
We don’t add any corn-based ingredients to our products. However, they are manufactured in facilities that also process corn. While our equipment is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between production runs, cross-contact is still a possibility. If you have a severe corn allergy or sensitivity, we recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before use.

The calcium carbonate in our tooth powder is sourced from a prehistoric oyster shell deposit — a marine origin, not mammalian. Our hydroxyapatite is also not derived from mammals; it's sourced from coral and seashells. All other ingredients are either plant-based or mineral-based, and we do not use any ingredients derived from mammals in this formula. That said, please note that our tooth powder is manufactured in a facility that also processes products containing dairy. While the equipment is thoroughly sanitized between production runs, we cannot guarantee zero cross-contamination.
