Frequently Asked Questions

Most powders rely on whey alone, which gives you one amino acid profile and tends to upset digestion in larger doses. We use four real food sources in smaller amounts for a fuller amino acid range that's easier on your stomach. Whey and pea support muscle, chia adds fiber, and collagen supports skin, joints, and bones.

Four to five real food sources, depending on the flavor: grass-fed whey, pea, pumpkin seed, chia seed, and collagen. We blend them on purpose, because no single protein covers everything. Together they give a more complete amino acid profile than one source could alone.

It's far less likely to. Most powders use only whey, and a big dose of whey alone is what bothers most people. We use four to five proteins in smaller amounts, plus non-denatured whey with no casein and very little lactose, so even whey-sensitive people tend to do well.

Barely. We use stevia leaf crushed straight from the plant, sourced through a manufacturer-only wholesaler. That skips the heavy processing most stevia goes through, and everything we use is sourced the same way.

Delicious!

"I love my Snickerdoodle protein Powder. The just ingredients brand is definitely my new favorite! The texture is good & isn't chalky like most. It also legitimately tastes like a snickerdoodle."

— Paige b. (5/5)

Good flavor!

"I like the snickerdoodle flavor. It is not my favorite because the flavor is not as strongly flavored as some of the others. But it’s okay. I appreciate how high it is in protein though like all of the protein powders are with Just Ingredients though!"

— Hannah (4/5)

Snickerdoodle Protein

"I ordered a bag of protein samples a few months ago and thought the Snickerdoodle was a decent flavor. Tasted very warm and like cinnamon. I enjoyed it. However, this batch almost has a sour taste. At first I thought it was my milk but after trying it 4 or 5 more times I still get that odd flavor. Maybe I got an odd batch. I will probably order one more time in the future before I write it off."

— Hannah S. (3/5)

Q&A

What type of cinnamon is used? Cassia? Ceylon?
Thank you for your question! All of our products that contain organic cinnamon use Cassia cinnamon, with the exception of our Superfood Hot Chocolate, which uses Ceylon cinnamon. We specifically chose Ceylon cinnamon for that blend to create a smoother, milder flavor and a more premium spice profile.
Anyone use this to make a protein coffee in the morning?
Thank you for reaching out—and for your great question! Yes, our protein can absolutely be heated without affecting its nutritional value. Whether you're baking, cooking, or mixing it into warm dishes or beverages, the protein itself remains intact and effective. That said, if you're using one of our blends that includes chia protein, we recommend avoiding high heat like boiling or simmering. Chia can become gummy or gel-like at high temperatures, which could change the texture of your final recipe. For best results, we suggest adding the protein closer to the end of cooking or keeping the heat at a moderate level throughout.
What type of whey protein do you use (concentrate, isolate, hydrolysate)?
Thank you for your question! While we’re unable to share the exact protein ratio, as that information is proprietary, we can confirm that the bulk of the protein blend in our whey protein powders comes from high-quality, grass-fed, non-denatured whey.
Does the stevia leaf contain erythritol?
There is no erythritol in any of our products! We use a pure stevia leaf or stevia leaf extract with no erythritol.
Can you mix this with hot water for a morning HOT Chocolate replacement?
Yes you can!
